THE INLAND This wild and charming land has still a lot to reveal. The landscape is all but not flat. Vegetation is composed of the broom, the lentisk, the myrtle, the olive trees which produce an extraordinary perfume, an amalgam of penetrating scent of old junipers, aromatic myrtle and red arbutus. Fauna is made of various and, sometimes, rare specimens: Golden eagle, Corsican seagull, Nun seal, Sardinian deer and also of common specimens, such as hawks, owls, cormorants, foxes, wild boars, martens, wild cats. In the numerous pools and among the cane thicket, flamingos and cranes build their nest. |
